2024 National Age Championships

Congratulations to Charlotte, Scarlett and their Families, and to Coach Brian Stehr, on a great week at the 2024 Australian Age Championships (April). It’s important to recognise, acknowledge and celebrate these swimmers and their achievement at the National level. Thank you to Scarlett for sharing her last Age Nationals with us – Scarlett’s performance was Fierce! Scarlett’s first of four events was the 50m Butterfly. In a personal best time, Scarlett improved her ranking from 35th to 25th in Australia for the 17YRS Girls 50FLY. Then she backed up in the final 3 days of competition, achieving 3 Finals from 3 events: the 200m Butterfly, 400 Individual Medley and the 100m Butterfly. In the 200FLY Final Scarlett placed 10th. In the 400IM Scarlett achieved a personal best time and placed 9th. In the final day of racing Scarlett achieved her 3rd final qualification and finished strongly to place 9th overall. It was great to see Charlotte compete in her two events, the 50m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly. Charlotte raced with style and placed 68th for her 50BS and 50th for her 50FLY. Congratulations Charlotte, we are all excited for your future being a newcomer to the sport of competitive swimming. Congratulations Charlotte & Scarlett, we are all so very proud.
